Dear ministry family,
In this letter, I want to share with you how the Lord switched the direction and focus of what I will be writing about over the next several months. In light of the accelerated attacks on Biblical views and Christians themselves, I feel led to open the eyes of Christians to the life and death struggle we are facing and what it looks like go on the offensive, in Christ, to conquer our six square feet. (i.e. everyone who you come in contact with today directly, by phone, email, social media, etc.).

You may have heard me say that God’s will is not like Google Maps where you get the route, the destination and the amount of time it takes you to get there. As much as I would like that, we know His will is like GPS in that He can change our spiritual course at any moment. Such is the case with the series I am writing called “Your Six Square Feet.”
As you know, since COVID ended my travels last March, I have been writing to you about experiencing a deeper intimacy with God. When I wrote the booklet, After God’s Heart, I left so much material out of the booklet that I assumed the Lord would direct me to expand the booklet into a book.
However, the election came along and everything changed because these last few months since the election, the Lord has been opening my eyes even wider to the ways Satan is using politics and culture to polarize our country.
In addition, I am becoming more deeply disturbed at how quickly Satan is working to create antagonism of unbelievers towards believers. A perfect example is a video clip I saw last week from a liberal talk show host, Bill Maher, who recently stated that Christians and Christian ideology were the impetus behind the riot at the capital. Statements like this are just the tip of the iceberg.
There is a spiritual decay in our country that seems to be accelerating. There is no doubt that Satan is the instigator of this great divide. I feel he is exploiting the rancor and polarization to accelerate not only the destruction of this country but the destruction of Christianity in this country. Concerning believers, Satan is doing a great job distracting us, dividing us and even controlling us. I don’t want to sound alarmist but I feel God is calling you and me out for such a time as this.

As disturbing as things may sound, I am encouraged because the upside is that the Lord is getting believers’ attention. He certainly has mine. As a result, the Lord told me to “make a hard right turn” by setting aside the writing of the book on intimacy to write this new series. Because I feel that Christians as a whole are failing to have a significant spiritual impact on our country and culture, the Lord is calling me to write this series as a “wake-up” call for us to engage in this fight for the souls of men and the soul of this country.
So that you know where I am going with this series, the first five articles are designed to pivot believers away from the distraction, frustration, anger, fear or anxiety caused by what is going on in our country. The next set of articles will focus on practical ways to share Life in Christ, encourage, exhort, give hope and love those who come into our six square feet.
By way of confirmation that I am to move in this direction, several people who have read the articles, have written and confessed their distress and frustration over what is going on in our country and how they need to be reminded not to be distracted from focusing on what Christ wants to accomplish through them in their six square feet.
For me personally, this idea of conquering your six square feet has sharpened my focus on how eternally important to God is every individual with whom I come in contact. In addition, the Lord is giving me a greater intentionality and awareness in ministering to those around me.
Therefore, I would ask that you help me by passing these articles on to friends and family. In addition, I pray the Holy Spirit will increase your sensitivity and awareness of God’s divine purpose in every encounter and therefore be prepared to minister to everyone who daily comes into your six square feet and encourage and equip others to do the same.
I feel we have been on the defensive too long and it is now time, as the body of Christ, to come together and be on the offensive in order to take back the territory the enemy has stolen by intentionally engaging the Holy Spirit to work through us to change our culture one life at a time.
“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer
through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
Paige and I are praying that you will engage God to conquer your six square feet today and every day.
Love,
Bill and Paige
