It’s very hard to believe it has been a year since Bill went home to the Lord. The year has been a busy one and difficult in some respects for the Board of Directors, though we have experienced the Lord’s faithful guidance in getting us to the place we are now. Our utmost desire has always been to steward every donation well and plant those funds in “fertile grounds” that would result in changed lives experiencing the hope and freedom expressed through the Christ is Life message.
We initially believed we would find an executive director to replace Bill and who would become the new “face and voice” of CILM. As the months have passed, it has become clear to us this is not the direction the Lord is leading.
Bill began the ministry over 20 years ago and during those years, as you well-know, poured his heart and soul into it. His passion and the unique, very personal way he approached every aspect of what he did can not be duplicated. A new director would mean it would no longer be the CILM that it was with Bill at the helm.
In lieu of seeking a new director, we have pursued two main goals:
- Formatting Bill’s books for Amazon.
- Updating the website.
These two goals are near completion. In addition, David Gregory has completed editing Bill’s most recent basic series which will be available in it’s entirety by the end of the year.
Also, throughout this year with your generous donations, we have continued to support several international partners with whom Bill was closely working. These partners, using some of the 20 available translations, have taught Bill’s studies to at least 120 student-pastors this year who will soon begin teaching their own groups. Equipping the “multipliers” was Bill’s greatest desire and delight.
So, knowing that for everything there is a season and a time for every purpose, the Board has decided that CILM will transition from a donor-supported ministry and become self-sustaining in 2026. We ask that you suspend your donations by December 22, 2025, allowing us to make the transition to our next phase. CILM will continue to function as a 501c3 operating through the website and will cover expenses through the book sales on Amazon.
We will continue to support some of the international partners with whom Bill had especially strong relationships. If anyone is interested in supporting any of the international partners directly, please contact us for further instructions at cilm@christislifeministries.com.
The Board of Directors would like to express our deep appreciation for your faithful support over the years. Together, we can trust that God will take Bill’s writing and teaching as far as He desires. After all, it has always been His ministry—and will continue to be so.
